The placenta, which is created between the mother and the baby to ensure the development of the baby throughout <a href=\"https:\/\/serkanoral.com\/en\/changes-in-the-mothers-body-during-pregnancy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>pregnancy<\/strong><\/a> and is commonly called the baby&#8217;s partner, continues to secrete hormones and create the nutrients needed for the baby&#8217;s development until it begins to do its job by the ovaries. One of the most important factors for the attachment of the embryo to the uterine wall is the progesterone hormone. Therefore, progesterone-containing <a href=\"https:\/\/serkanoral.com\/en\/drugs-used-in-ivf-treatment\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>drugs<\/strong><\/a> should be used during <strong>the luteal phase<\/strong> . Progesterone-containing drugs are administered to the body in many different ways, including vaginally, with intramuscular injections, rectally and orally. Hormone supplements applied during <strong>the luteal phase of in vitro fertilization<\/strong> are generally applied vaginally today. Vaginal applications are preferred because they are easier and painless than others.
